CHRIS FINCH

dipLCM, ATCL, LTCL, BSc, PGCE.

Originally from London, Chris' interest in the guitar began at the age of 10. At 18 he won the Young Musician of Enfield competition. His guitar tutors have included David Russell and Antonio Albanes, who he studied with at the London Guildhall School of Music. He achieved a distinction for his Trinity College, London Licentiate Recital Diploma in Classical Guitar. and an upper level London College of Music Diploma in Electric Guitar. 

Now based in Gloucestershire, Chris has been a professional musician for over 30 years. During which time he has taught guitar, ukulele and mandolin and has performed regularly in a variety of settings, including festivals, clubs, recording studios and radio broadcasts, playing both as a soloist and in groups. He plays a wide range of styles including classical, latin, jazz. blues, rock and flamenco. He has led a number of workshops and guitar groups.

He currently teaches Classical, Electric, Acoustic and Bass Guitar and Ukulele at Gloucestershire primary and secondary schools. He has appeared regularly on the judging panel for South Cotswold Rotary Young Musician of the Year and has been a mentor for South West Music School.  He plays Electric Guitar with alternative rock band Sonnitus.

As a soloist , Chris performs on Acoustic, Classical Guitar and Mandolin at weddings, celebrations and corporate events.
